I Kept Showing Up
I met Nipsey Hussle more than once while I was out pushing my music in Los Angeles. The first time wasn’t perfect, I was hungry, nervous, doing too much, and still learning how to move. But I kept coming back, kept introducing myself, kept rapping, kept selling, and kept believing in what I had.
Over time, Nipsey bought two different mixtapes from me. That meant something to me, not just because of who he was, but because it proved the hustle was real. I didn’t get that moment from sitting around waiting. I got it from showing up.
